Dr. Fortson is a life sciences transactional lawyer with expertise in drafting and negotiating research collaboration, investigator-initiated study, material transfer, licensing and equipment loan agreements. Dr. Fortson received his B.S. in Biology from Tennessee State University, J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law, and Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences (Cancer Biology) from Morehouse School of Medicine. Also, Dr. Fortson completed his postdoctoral training at UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine in the Center for Genomics and Society.
